CX-Cam flight test video
Over the holidays, I was working on something rather different. After much experimentation, tuning, and part-hunting, I now have a small aerial camera platform. This is something I've wanted to do since at least middle school, and technology has finally caught up.
The neat part, to me, is that it's nearly off-the-shelf hardware. It's based around a small radio-controlled helicopter and a commercially available wireless camera. (Both are modified, but not extensively.)
Perhaps most importantly, this is something that I'm having fun with, and that others are interested in — a nice vacation from my language/Forth work, which nobody ever comments on. :-)

Cliff, please don't suspend PropellerForth posts. I am too inexperienced with Forth to contribute anything but enthusiasm. It is because of Forth I am interested in microcontrollers. When I actually buy a micro to experiment with, the Propeller with your Forth on it seems like a good choice for me. I won't outgrow it. Plus your luxurious libraries will help. Hope you have the 'see' word. I am an Excel-VBA guy - please readers, hold your applause - driven to Forth after much language delving. Enjoying the paradigm shift very much. Will follow PropellerForth posts closely. Surely the longtime Forth Freaks are incrementing your counters nonstop?

Cliff,
There is considerable interest in your PropellerForth within the SVFIG (Silicon Valley FORTH Interest Group), but much frustration at your failure to answer e-mail requests for more on your efforts. SVFIG folk tend to be involved in embedded controller type activities, rather than games, as Parallax seems to think propeller folk will be. Don't know how much they interact with blogs, but off hand I;d say, not much. Theyu are hungry for things FORTH though, so to get interest, pick your audience. Bach doesn't sell well to DeadHeads, nor are there a lot of Operetic Lyric Tenors who pick 5-string banjo, so get the word out to those who want to hear it.

Cliff,
I was excited to see the threads on the Parallax Propeller forum because I wanted to start using Forth again after many many years. I think Forth on the Propeller will make a powerful marriage.
I'm very disappointed that it appears that you have abandon your development effort but I understand your decision.
I notice that you have not released the sources at this point. If you've decided to stop development could you make them available to see if somebody is interesting in picking up development?
Kind regards,
Frank Schorr

I was very pleased to find this site.I wanted to thank you for this great read!! I definitely enjoying every little bit of it and I have you bookmarked to check out new stuff you post. Wondering where to go in 2019? Things to do has ranked as the best include a remote, idyllic island, the design capital ...
